Lauren and Lewis – Down by the river

Over the bank holiday weekend, I had two very fun photoshoots, that I would love to share with you. The first one I want to share is Lauren and Lewis. They are such a lovely and fun couple and we shared many laughters as we were rowing down the river in the most beautiful rowing boat (called “The Skiff”), which we hired from the Bath Boating Station. If you have never been there before, I can not recommend it enough. The riverside is stunning and there is also a café, where you can enjoy a lunch or drink after a row on the boats.

Lauren’s beautiful floral crown was made by the very talented Grace from Young Blooms – isn’t it simply gorgeous? I think we all should be wearing floral crowns on a more regular basis!

Småland

It has been a while since I have updated this blog, which is due to us spending a few weeks in Sweden. But I have not come empty handed and am able to share a very small selection of photos we took whilst over there.

We spent the majority of our time in a little cottage in the middle of the woods, right by a lake. So our days were mostly spent down by the water (sometimes even in or on the water) or walking through the beautiful woodlands. It was so lovely to really slow down as a family and just be together. If you haven’t been to Sweden before, we definitely can not recommend it enough. It is a beautiful country full of very friendly people.

Hiking in the Quantocks

When my friend Crystal asked me if I would go hiking with her, I was really excited by the idea. I hadn’t actually been hiking in years – the last time was a coastal walk with a baby in my sling a few years ago and before then, well, I can’t even remember.

I am so glad, that I agreed to go with her. We spent a beautiful day walking for miles and miles, talking or just silently enjoying the stunning views. I am no landscape photographer at all – but I do hope I managed to capture some of the beauty for you anyway. If you click on the smaller images, they should also enlarge.

Shearwater

You may have noticed already that Shearwater is one of my favourite places in our local area. Not only is it a beautiful setting for photoshoots but it is simply a stunning place to spend your time. We often go there with friends or just on our own. To feed the ducks, play by the dens and explore the surrounding woodlands.

The other day, when the sun was shining, my boys and I spent another lovely day at Shearwater and I would like to share a few of my favourite images from the day with you.

Patrick & Karolinka

Over the weekend I met up with Patrick and Karolinka at Shearwater, one of my favourite places in Wiltshire. My  husband Jamie photographed their wedding day a few years ago, so it was a real pleasure to get to meet them too and photograph them both on this beautiful day whilst walking in the woods and enjoying a little picnic amongst the trees and dens.

I’m excited to share a little peek into some of their photos from the shoot with you and hope you enjoy them too.

Danielle and Jay

I have been friends with Danielle and Jay for a few years now. We met at a parent and child group & our little ones slowly became best friends.

A couple of years ago I met them for a fun family shoot at Heaven’s Gate, so I was very excited to capture the three of them again just before they will be joined by their little daughter due in the next couple of weeks. This time we chose the beautiful Tithe Barn in Bradford on Avon right next to the canal and a little river. It’s a beautiful little spot and we all had lots of fun during our shoot.

I’m so excited to share a small selection of their photos with you and am hoping I will get to photograph them as a family of four at some stage!

Laura & Steve at Shearwater

Shearwater is one of my favourite places in Wiltshire. Not only are you able to sit at the beautiful lake and watch the ducks and swans but there are also some gorgeous woodlands right next to it. It is definitely one of my happy places; so it’s no surprise that when asked for a location for a photoshoot, Shearwater is the first place I think of.

For Laura and Steve this place was even more special as we had previously done a family shoot for them here. They are also very close to nature – together they are selling these gorgeous Eco Wood Rings (also pictured below).

We had lots of fun during our photoshoot and I am so happy to share a small selection of their photos with you today!
